Overview

Our rope feeding systems enable safe and efficient sheet threading through the dryer section. The design reduces threading time and operator effort during startups and breaks. Robust construction ensures reliable long-term performance. This system enhances safety while minimising production losses.

Feeds edge trims/broke from forming/wire sections back to the pulper chest, preventing floor spills and maintaining closed-loop broke systems in high-speed kraft liner or tissue lines.

Scope of Delivery

  • Includes drive/return pulleys (lagged rubber), rope tensioners (pneumatic), enclosed troughs/chutes (stainless steel), and mounting brackets.
  • Other common components include Motors/gears (1-5 kW, VFD), pulper inlet diverters, lubrication points, edge trim slitters, safety sensors/switches, spares (rope sections/pulleys), and commissioning.

Key Advantages

  • Enclosed rope channels ensure hygienic, dust-free transport of wet broke (up to 50% moisture), reducing fire risks and manual labour by 90%.
  • High-capacity (10-30 tons/h) with variable speed matching machine pace (200-1000 m/min), minimising downtime during web breaks.
  • Durable UHMWPE/PVC ropes resist abrasion/stretch, lasting 12-24 months in corrosive environments while handling widths to 6m.
  • Compact overhead routing saves floor space; auto-tensioners prevent derailments, boosting efficiency in multi-section machines.
  • Cost-effective recycling of 2-5% broke improves yield and sustainability for tissue/kraft grades.
